Through a captivating journey into a region where ocean deities are both revered and feared, Souleymane Sidibé emerges as one of the pioneers of a new era of surfing in Côte d’Ivoire. He inspires young people to overcome inequality and cultural barriers in order to access the transformative power of surfing. The Rising Dawn unveils unexplored waves, ethereal landscapes, and celebrates the vibrant communities shaping the country’s surf culture.
